Skylanders: Swap Force Wave 1 Releases & Triple Packs

Post by on Skylanders: Swap Force 16849 3

If you’re wondering what packs will be available during the first wave of Skylanders: Swap Force, this latest info might help shed some light. Gathering together information taken from various sources online, this list should be close to what fans can expect as the first batch of new figures.

Starter Packs

Firstly, there’s the Starter Packs where everything begins:

  • Swap Force Starter Pack – Wash Buckler, Blast Zone, Ninja Stealth Elf (All platforms, excluding 3DS)

Skylanders Swap Force Xbox 360 Starter Pack

  • Swap Force 3DS Starter Pack – Free Ranger, Rattle Shake, Volcanic Lava Barf Eruptor

Skylanders Swap Force 3DS Starter Pack

Skylanders Swap Force Dark Edition Starter Pack

There’s quite the mix with Starter Packs this time, with something different in each of them. This could be the first time where fans are more likely to purchase multi-platform releases from day one, particularly with the Dark Edition being a limited run and no word yet on whether or not the dark variants will be available at a later date (outside of the Starter Pack).

A Super Bundle Pack exclusive to Wal-Mart in the U.S. will also be available for November 5th, 2013. It quickly sold out online however check in-store for stock availabilty.

In total, there will be 17 different characters available in the first batch, ranging from Swappables, Cores, Series 2, Series 3 releases and Lightcore figures.

  • Countdown
  • Free Ranger
  • Hoot Loop

  • Rattle Shake

  • Lightcore Warnado

Wave 1 Boxes

Some online retailers selling Wave 1 boxes have listed two different types: one mixed variety containing Core, Series 2 and Series 3 characters while another specifically for Swappables. The boxes include the following:

Core, Series 2, Series 3 Wave 1 Box

  • 2 x Countdown
  • 2 x Roller Brawl
  • 2 x Slobber Tooth

Interesting to note, each triple pack includes a Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3 release character for added variety. For the first time, we’ll also see a double pack release, available in two versions:

These packs are excellent value for those that pick up either the regular Starter Packs or Dark Edition for home consoles, however those getting the portable version will double up on figures as both Free Ranger and Rattle Shake are included in the 3DS Starer Pack.

Hi..im confused about the list under the starter packs. I don’t see starter packs with all those figures. I see the starters above, main one, 3ds, dark. .but what starter is pop fizz, chill, warnado in? Am I misreading? Thank you for clarifying. I want to figure out the $$ for wave 1

    • Hi shelly9871,

The list directly below is a list of the available single packs from Wave 1. I’ve broken it up and added headings so things are easier to read.

Please excuse the confusion, I typed it out early in the morning so my brain may not have been firing on all cylinders. :)

The Arkeyan Crossbow Battle Pack and Sheep Wreck Island Adventure Pack haven’t been added to the list as there’s no confirmation these will be a Wave 1 launch pack as yet.

Hope this clears things up, but let me know if things don’t make sense and I’ll fix it. 😉
